Discover the Benefits of MetLife Insurance
We understand that navigate your dental insurance can be complicated and even frustrating. At the dental office of Dr. Kelly Blair, our team is equipped to help you receive the most from your coverage and are ready to file and process any necessary paperwork or claims on your behalf. As an in-network provider for MetLife dental insurance, we are happy to review the details of your plan and help you maximize your benefits. As with any insurance company, they are designed to ensure you take measures to prevent problems from occurring in the first place, hence, the emphasis on preventive care. However, should problems arise, your dental insurance plan is there to help relieve some of the financial burden.
MetLife Coverage Availability & Fees
Depending on your individual policy, your benefits may be different from your fellow co-worker. But no matter what plan you’re on, you can expect to receive the most coverage for preventive services, including dental cleanings and exams. Why? Because this form of care aims to prevent problems before they start, and we all know that the more dental work you need, the more money you’ll spend.
It’s important to note that in order for our team to provide you with a detailed estimate of a particular procedure or treatment, we will need to review your benefits and coverage first.
Most patients can expect their MetLife insurance plan to include the following:
- 80-100% preventive care coverage
- 50-80% restorative services coverage
- 50-70% orthodontic treatment coverage (if covered by an employer, they have the option to elect this type of coverage or not)
As an in-network provider, Dr. Kelly Blair has negotiated and agreed to contracts with various insurance companies, including MetLife, that outline a fair price for dental services provided. We want to ensure you receive an affordable yet, high-level quality of care.
While it is best to choose an in-network dentist, you are certainly welcome to pursue out of network options. What this means is that the out of network provider might charge a higher fee for a particular service, and you will be responsible for paying the difference, in addition to the out of pocket treatment percentage.
As a member of Dr. Blair’s team, Stephine handles all aspects of our patient’s dental insurance. If you have any questions about your coverage or benefits, she will be happy to provide further explanation.
