Renew your smile with porcelain veneers!
When you hear the phrase “smile makeover,” it often refers to full porcelain veneers. You see, dental veneers can reshape, realign, and permanently whiten front teeth to completely transform a smile. In just three visits with Dr. Kelly Blair, she can use them to give you a completely unique and absolutely beautiful smile.
It All Starts with a Consultation
Dr. Blair is ready to sit down with you to talk about your vision for “the perfect smile.” She can review before-and-after photos with you, and, if you prefer, you can bring along pictures of your all-time favorite smiles. She will consider your skin tone, facial features, and overall appearance before recommending the appropriate style of dental veneers for you. We’ll custom-design a treatment plan and then discuss it with our master ceramist who will design your veneers by hand using exquisite dental porcelain that looks completely natural.
Porcelain Veneer Preparation
After we have designed your ideal smile, Dr. Blair will prepare your teeth, make an impression for the lab, and place trial dental veneers on your teeth. The trial veneers will allow you to try out an improvised version of your new smile until the final restorations arrive from the lab.
At Last, Your New Smile
At your last clinical visit for porcelain veneers, Dr. Blair will remove your trial veneers and permanently affix the porcelain restorations to your teeth. She’ll assess your bite (how the upper and lower teeth fit together) and make adjustments to the new veneers if necessary. When you see your new smile, you’ll feel sensational! In fact, our team loves providing porcelain veneers because of the sincere joy patients experience when they see their new smile for the first time.

Porcelain Veneers FAQs
Have you been unsatisfied with your smile for some time now? Do you wish there were an easy way to correct multiple imperfections in your grin all at once? Thankfully, porcelain veneers offer a simple way to revitalize your smile and give you the perfect set of pearly whites that you deserve. However, it’s perfectly normal to have a few questions about the process, even after reading all the information above on this page. That’s why we have answered a few of our most frequently asked questions about porcelain veneers.
Am I a Good Candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
Because veneers are often a purely cosmetic treatment, we’ll have to make sure that your smile is infection-free before placing them. This means that if we detect any instances of gum disease or tooth decay, we’ll have to address those issues beforehand.
Veneers can be used to conceal a wide variety of smile flaws. If you have any of the following imperfections in your grin, veneers may be right for you:
- Stains or discoloration
- Minor gaps between teeth
- Stubby, worn-down, or misshapen teeth
Are Porcelain Veneers Permanent?
In order to place your veneers, an ultra-thin layer of enamel must be filed away to make room for your new restorations. Because enamel does not grow back once it is removed, veneers are considered a permanent treatment. Your affected teeth will always require some kind of protection going forward, whether you choose more veneers or dental crowns.
Does It Hurt to Get Veneers?
Because your teeth must be prepped before veneers can be placed, many patients worry that the procedure will be painful. However, this is not something to fret about. We will make sure that the area is completely numb before going through with any treatment. If, however, you are still apprehensive about receiving veneers, we offer sedation options to ease your anxiety and allow you to get your veneers completely worry-free.
How Long Do Porcelain Veneers Last?
On average, porcelain veneers can be expected to last between 10 and 15 years. However, you can extend their lifespan even beyond that by taking excellent care of them, which entails:
- Brushing twice a day (for two minutes at a time) with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a fluoridated toothpaste
- Flossing at least once daily, ideally right before bed
- Wearing a custom nightguard while you sleep if you grind your teeth at night
- Wearing a mouthguard during sporting events
- Visiting us for a checkup and cleaning every six months to make sure your veneers are still in great condition
